LESSONS

Private Singing Lessons

Have you ever wanted to sing? As a new hobby or career? I have been singing professional since 1998, have a degree in Popular Music Performance with the London College of Music and I have been teaching privately since 2009. Also a teaching for the Richmond Musis Trust I am use to working with all levels. I travel to and teaching one-to-one lessons at my students homes or I now do online lessons (see below). I have a lot of experience teaching children and I have a current enhanced DBS certificate that I am happy to show you. I have also taught a lot of adults from 18-70+

Beginners

Many people just want to be able to sing in tune. Sometimes they have been told they are "tone deaf". There is no such thing as "tone deaf". With training, determination and practice you can train you ears and voice to work together to be able to sing in pitch. Over the last few years I have worked with a lot of people on pitch with great results. With other beginners it's about control and tone which can come from awareness, practice and guidance.

Professional or Prospective Professionals

It can be very helpul, when working on your voice and performance, to have an independant opinion to make sure you are going in the right direction. It is really important to me as singing teacher, and singer myself, that people develope their own style in performance and singing rather than just copying others. In my teaching, I always try to meet the pupils needs and plan the lessons around the individual. I can help improve your performance techniques, ear training, music theory, and much more.

Grades

Grades are a great way to focus towards something and you can get a great sense of achievement from them. They are also great extra qualification, having respective QCF credit values and can count towards UCAS points. They are also great for school applications and I have written many reference letters for this application as well.

I am able to teach through 2 difference boards: RSL awards and ABRSM

Performing

I encourage all my student to perform as much as possible. Many of my students enter the Ealing Music Festival and they have won many awards over the last 3 year in doing this. Any auditions that come up such as Pitshanger Popstar and Live@The Rose, all my students are encourage to also give them a go.

Last year I ran a show called 'SING' which gave all my student chance to perform. This show was a great success and I hope to do the next one before Easter 2014. Check out the pics in my STUDENT GALLERY from last years show.

Some students have come to me with a performance in mind, i.e a birthday or wedding. I have helped individuals and groups to achieve this. Check out the WORKSHOPS page to see a video of a performance from a wedding party I helped out.
