About Me

I've been performing professionally since I was 14 years old so I have had a lot of experience. Back then I performed in pubs, clubs and at private parties, doing either my own set, or backing vocals for a Wiltshire based Neil Diamond tribute act.

In May 1998 I helped set up a children's singing group called Loud and Proud. I helped with the choreography and vocal arrangements including teaching some of the members vocal harmonies. I still go back to help them with big events and running vocal technique workshops. They have just had their 15th anniversary show June 2013.

After leaving school I went on to do a 2 year diploma in Performing Arts at Cricklade College in Andover where I excelled in singing, dance and choreography.

Moving to London in 2003 I completed a 1 year diploma in Popular Music Performance at Vocaltech, Vocal School.

After taking some time out to travel, I returned to study at the London College of Music with Vocaltech doing a 3 years Hons Degree in Popular Music Performance, which I completed in 2009 receiving a 2:1.

I went on to perform in duos and bands including being the lead singer in covers band Slim Pickings. We perform in London and South England at pub, clubs and private parties.

Since finishing my degree I have had a lot of success. One of which is working for the Richmond Music Trust. At the Richmond Music Trust I am the lead teacher for the singing team and I teach singing in many different ways.

Singing Lessons in Schools: I am the singing teacher for small groups/individual in schools in the Richmond area.

Wider Opportunities

Wider Opportunities is a government initiative, designed to give all KS2 children the chance to play an instrument as an integral part of National Curriculum music lessons. Singing is the introduction to this at foundation level and is a great way to help children experience music. I teach wider opportunity lessons in many school in Richmond.

Singing Festival and Live@The Rose

These are 2 great events run by the trust that I help with. I work with choirs, small groups and individuals preparing for this live shows performed at the Rose Theatre Kingston.

BandIt gives participants the chance to experience what it’s like to be in a band.  Planned and delivered by a dedicated RMT team who between them have a staggering amount of experience in teaching, recording and performance, we aim to squeeze the best out of every single participant.

I teach private singing lessons at home covering performance and vocal techniques. I also prepare student for exams through Rockschool and ABRSM. I have taught using both syllabuses from grade 1 all the way through to grade 8. See  the results sections on 'NEWS' page or my Facebook page which I update more regularly.
